Meet our Team

Janene Gorsett, LMHC

Mental health and addiction challenges can make it feel as though hope is out of reach. I believe that even in the most difficult seasons, hope is not lost. I am committed to meeting clients exactly where they are in their journey toward healing and helping them rediscover hope at their own pace.

I enjoy working with individuals ages 10 and up, as well as couples and families. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

My areas of specialty include complex trauma, addiction, autism, ADHD, personality disorders, and bipolar disorders. Through a compassionate and individualized approach, I work collaboratively with clients to support meaningful change, resilience, and lasting healing.

Emily Ruppert, LMHC

As a therapist, my goal is to bring genuineness, acceptance, and empathy into every counseling relationship. I believe healing begins in a space where you feel safe, understood, and free from judgment or shame. I am here to meet you exactly where you are in life and to walk alongside you with compassion and respect.

I enjoy working with individuals ages 10 and up, as well as couples. My areas of specialty include women’s issues, perinatal mental health, addiction, complex trauma, and life transitions. I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs and experiences, honoring your story and personal goals.

For those who desire it, I also offer faith-based therapy, integrating spiritual perspectives into the counseling process in a way that is respectful and client-led. My hope is to support you in finding healing, growth, and renewed hope as you move forward.

Do you ever find yourself feeling trapped in old patterns you wish you could escape, feeling ashamed and hopeless? Maybe you're behaving in ways that don't really feel like your true self, and you might even find yourself acting just like your parents, even though you swore you never would. Do you feel like the black sheep of your family, feeling as though you have been pressured to fit a specific mold, and you just want to break free? Young adults, parents, and those managing relationships often carry the weight of their old patterns, burdens, relationships, and even family history on their shoulders.

All of this may be causing your current relationships to feel strained, and maybe you struggle with setting boundaries, expressing your needs, and feeling like you can be yourself. Many people hope for the day they can finally feel in control of their own life, but it is often a distant dream. Let's take the first step at attaining this dream now, together!

Changing old patterns and breaking out of expectations can be scary, so I am here to walk alongside you as you increase self-esteem and self-acceptance, improve relationships, feel comfortable in your own skin, break old chains, feel independent, express your needs, heal past hurts, release guilt, and become the person you have always wanted to be.
